The Social Space of Innovation of the Foundation Prodis

 

The Social Space of Innovation of the Foundation Prodis has been constituted in the frame of the Singular Project and Strategic CISVI (Communities of Investigation for the Health and the Independent Life) in the year 2008 and it was recognized officially in the Conference II of Social Spaces of Innovation in Malaga in October, 2009. From his constitution they have been laid the foundations for the development of diverse activities of innovation that offer technological solutions to the needs of the Foundation and of the persons with intellectual disability to which this one provides support. The Social Space of Innovation of the Foundation Prodis is one of the biggest efforts in Spain of developing, following methodologies centred on the user, technological solutions directed the incorporation, in this persons' case with intellectual disability. From his formation, the Social Space of Innovation of the Foundation Prodis has been expanding up to sheltering, at present, two different scenes from innovation and between them, seven activities of innovation. The scenes of innovation are areas of interest for the technological innovation of the coordinating organization of the ESdI, in this case, the Foundation Prodis. Nowadays, the scenes of innovation that form a part of the ESdI de Prodis are Labor Integration and Formation


The Foundation Prodis: Activities

 The Foundation Prodis, together with the technological company IT Ariadna Servicios, coordinates the activities of innovation for the well-being of the persons with intellectual disability that they develop in the Social Space of Prodis's Innovation. The Foundation Prodis coordinates the action supported of his professionals in what concerns the identification of needs of the persons with intellectual disability who could satisfy with technological developments, hereby, and of the hand of his participation in activities of research and development the necessary developments are carried out to satisfy the needs identified of this group.

The Foundation Prodis, inside the projects of research and development that are realized in the frame of the Social Space of Innovation it realizes the following activities:

  •   Specification of needs on the part of the group of persons with intellectual disability
  •  Validation of the offer of technological development that proposes the consortium.
  •  Iterative validation of the advances that the above mentioned development experiences along the project.
  •  Evaluation of the realized development. The Foundation Prodis evaluates the usefulness along the project of the development that is realized.
  •  Incorporation of the development realized to the activities of formation and labor integration that the Foundation realizes daily.
  • Diffusion of the results of the projects.
